it does add a certain something

[ the familiar calming ritual is actually a little endearing. sawamura takes him as seriously as pitching. at least for ten seconds.

he's kissed a girl before - one, singular, at a middle school group date he'd only been invited to because toujou had offered to bring another guy. it hadn't been a particularly noteworthy experience, not least because he hadn't really known her and it had been a king's game order.

does that make this different? probably not, but it kinda feels that way.

gamely, he kisses back. make it worth raving about, sawamura. ]

im all about the atmosphere

[ oh. oh, okay, they're actually kissing!! well. eijun is not going to lose out on this--he'll be the ace of kissing and then people will have to come over and make money for the team, and that'll show stupid furuya for taking the baseball game!!

any of his tension fades out pretty quickly, and eijun's body figures out what to do way before his mouth does. his thumbs stroke over his cheekbones, a little twitchy and fidgety even when he's still, and if he thinks of it like a pitch--relax, and then all of your energy in one place--it's actually kind of easy. plus, kanemaru's mouth is kinda soft, and it's giving him all kind of weird tingles and butterflies.

...he probably should have pulled away a little bit ago, but he's distracted by how nice and warm that is, presses his lips to his once, twice, three times. ]

[ shinji might have invited this on because he can't say no to sawamura's stupid puppy-dog eyes, but from the way his fingers curl into the seam of sawamura's shirt, he's probably not as anti-kissing-an-idiot as he'd say he is.

sawamura is ridiculously, obnoxiously, overwhelmingly sawamura, all too much energy and more capable than he really should be. shinji shifts enough to make the angle easier, momentarily forgetting the exact circumstances of this particular scenario because sawamura really is worth a positive review.

which is kinda bullshit, really. ]

[ maybe this is just another one of eijun's totally useless talents?? who knows. he's not really sure how long he's supposed to do this, but it feels really nice, and besides, he figures that kanemaru'll just shove him when he's had enough. that means eijun doesn't have to think about it at all, which means that, naturally, he's going to be better at it.

some of the buzzing energy in him ends up sort of melting a little, especially when kanemaru moves, and, hey, they're pretty good at this together, aren't they? his shoulders slump a little bit and he ends up shifting one of his hands to hook gently around the back of his neck instead, all callouses and knobby fingers. eijun's not much for experience, but what he lacks in one area he gains in another--i.e, his enthusiasm, and the next kiss is a little deeper, though he has yet to try anything with his tongue (mostly because he has no idea even where to start with that one.)

man, kissing is awesome. screw cooties, this is the best. ]

[ he can feel it as sawamura starts to settle down, and it's kind of perfect. in the sawamura way, anyway, which makes sense, and all. he wouldn't expect - or like - sawamura to kiss like some casanova. that'd be weird. his hand shifting on shinji's neck is jarring. he almost pulls away, embarrassed, but sawamura is warm and this is... nice. which he is definitely not thinking about in any way whatsoever, thanks.

tentatively, he steps in. even more tentatively, he matches sawamura's forward march of kissing prowess, loosening his grip on sawamura's shirt to press his palms to his sides instead. he's not totally sure how the tongue thing is supposed to go, but he gives it a try, a shallow dip of his tongue between sawamura's lips. ]

[ whoa! okay, see, eijun was totally not thinking about doing that (a lie) but this is part of the whole ace of kissing thing, right?? he's gotta really impress kanemaru, especially because two weeks of his lunch are riding on this.

also because he really wants to? but that's something else entirely, maybe. if he wasn't so busy focusing on kissing, on kanemaru's hands or his nice mouth or pretty much anything besides kanemaru he might actually notice that fact, but right now, he is 100% focused on the task at hand.

he kinda wants to put his arm around him. would that be weird? maybe. he's considering that when he feels the flick of his tongue, and, well, okay, that's the next step. eijun's body complies quick as anything, opening up into the kiss and chasing after that same pressure with enthusiasm, tilting his head to the side a little to open his mouth properly. his invisible tail is wagging behind him. ]

[ well, there goes any thought of retreating from the tongue experiment. he hadn't really expected much different - or wanted any different. he does love a challenge, and this is... definitely a challenge. he leans to mirror sawamura's tilt, which helps make figuring out the give and take of tongue action more natural a progression than he thought it would be.

his hands linking together behind sawamura is also a natural sort of progression, resting heavy at the small of his back to keep him from an escape he doesn't seem likely to attempt. shinji's confidence grows enough that his grip tightens, not that he notices. ]
