the BODY HEAT meme
Post with your character! They're now stuck in a very cold place of your choice. It can be anything, such as a freezing chamber, a cavern or a small cabin in the midst of a blizzard. The choice is up to you.

Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket.

A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation!

So, uh, have fun, I suppose. Try to not freeze to death!

Protip: friction and body heat are both excellent ways to fend off cold.

This is so dumb.

[Sure. Yes. It could be worse. Mista will admit that--begrudgingly. It isn't the worst winter ever, and even if it's way below freezing outside, at least they're indoors.]

[The thing is, though, the power's been out and the heat went with it. The sun's been down for long enough that the darkness has sucked all the warmth out of his apartment. And his Mediterranean ass is just plain not happy about this.]

[He glowers at the electric lantern on the coffee table and buries his face in Shuji's shoulder, tugging the blanket closer around them.]

Is it summer yet?

[It's not the worst winter ever. Shuji has been through worse, and worse with his power out.

But he isn't from Italy, either, and even if he was he'd never just tell Mista to suck it up.]

Not yet, sorry. You won't have to check back for a while, so you can just stay under the blanket.

[He wraps an arm around Mista's back, underneath the blanket. C'mere.]

Sorry I didn't think it would get so cold when we came back to visit. Normally, the heater works, but I didn't think it would be out.

[Atsushi comes over with another blanket and hands it to Chuuya before scooting under the futon to join him.]

I didn't think it would snow so bad either. At least I was able to get Kyouka to Kouyou-san for the night. She promises that they'll go to one of her safe houses to warm up there.

[He didn't want Kyouka to freeze with them.]

We can go back to the library when the snow has died down.

[Atsushi has slept in a cold room before. It's not like the Headmaster would spare him any heat, though this time he doesn't have to try to find a blanket to warm up in. He can share a futon with his fiance! So he's pretty happy about that.]

Did you want me to try to warm it up by boiling water or something?

[Well, it's not like he needs an engraved invitation. He never needs one to get closer to Shuji, and even if he kind of knows he's being a baby about this, it's nice that Shuji indulges him.]

[He scoots closer, curling up on the couch for as many points of contact as possible. Still hiding his face, though. His cheeks are cold.]

You're gonna tell me when you beat winter up so it leaves me alone, huh? [Protect Him.]

[Chuuya's aware that Atsushi's bedroom in his own world wasn't super expensive or anything, but he didn't think that the heating being out in the middle of winter would be a problem they'd have to deal with.]

It's fine as long as you don't get up for anything.

[Because right now he's glued to Atsushi's side. Please don't take your body heat away, Tiger Lily.]

[Shuji knows he's indulgent, he just doesn't care at all. Especially when it means more Mista cuddling.]

I'll make sure you know. I have to wait for the opportune moment, but I'll get revenge on winter for hurting you like this.

[ It's fucking cold.

Slaine, unlike the others, as far as she knows, is pretty used to this kind of shit. Her end of the world has some pretty brisk winters when the season rolls around, so the drop in temperature isn't too much to her. She finds a shirt that she throws at Shannon to cut and tailor to keep Cilian warm when the dog starts whining.

Them, they just need to put a bunch of layers on and keep trucking. Especially when they can't afford a particularly... great hotel room, when they're kind of trying to lay low. Temperature drops? They're screwed.

Except they have other means of keeping warm.

Rubbing her hands together and mourning the fact that she's largely quit smoking because of the very person she's looking at, Slaine makes her way over to the incredibly bundled up Robin. And, without preamble or warning, she nudges her over so that she can climb into the seat with her. Might as well, considering the poor bird might freeze to death if she doesn't. ]

Mm. Okay.

[His boyfriend is so good. With a faint, unseen smile, he reaches out blindly until he finds Shuji's hand under the blanket and laces their fingers together.]

I'll keep you company until that moment comes. We'll act real casual until it's your time to strike. And then you can be my white knight for a little bit.

[Shuji gives Mista's hand a squeeze. God, their hands are both so cold.]
