[ When you become the legal guardian of someone for a couple years but continue to keep in contact with them once they're legally an adult, you kind of get the ability to know when they really want something and you have no choice but to give it to them. Isaac had stared at him for a solid twenty minutes when he told him that his girlfriend had a project she was working on, and needed volunteers for. Cora had resolutely joined him, and he'd glowered at both of them before he was finally forced to cave in.
Being told that it involves kissing a stranger almost sends him right back out of the warehouse when he gets there, but they manage to rope him into staying. If this is Isaac's idea of getting him on the dating scene again, he's not exactly thrilled.
So he spends most of his time waiting rubbing his thumbs over the cuffs of his butter-soft jacket, frowning and ignoring Cora's attempts to rib him as she texts him. She volunteered, but she's running late and apparently is allowed to where he isn't. Of course, then he gets called in before he has the chance to consider retreating and pretending he was late.
After getting attacked by a powder puff and eyed up, he gets directed to where Isaac's girlfriend has everything set up. He's met her once or twice, but upon finding out who her family is he'd... sort of made a point to keep their meetings scarce. He's doing this more because Isaac asked, not because it'll help her-- not that he thinks she's to blame for what her relative did, but because he'd just much rather not risk running into said relative.
Those thoughts leave his mind as he's introduced to the apparent stranger, and he goes still. Whatever Allison is saying, he doesn't quite hear it as he regards him. He's maybe two inches shorter than Derek and made of limbs, pale-skinned but covered in moles and freckles at every exposed stretch of skin that he can see, his eyes are a bright, amber brown and are enormous--
And then he looks down further, past the pixie nose and at his full mouth. Said mouth lets slip a sudden crack, and he cocks his head a little before he looks back up at his eyes. ] Stiles.
claps gleefully
