1. ALADDIN The classic rags to riches story. One's royalty, and one's not, and they'll do anything to win the heart of their beloved--or at least besotted--even if it means pretend to be rich.
2. SLEEPING BEAUTY A character has been cursed, doomed to sleep forever. Only true love's kiss can wake them up.
3. ALICE IN WONDERLAND Things have gotten curioser and curioser, as a character's transported deep into a magic land where things aren't quite what they seem. A magical court, a reigning queen, talking animals--whatever you have it, you think you probably need to get out of this place and back home. But will your partner help you or harm you?
4. THE LITTLE MERMAID You're a mermaid, for whichever reason. Falling in love with people who have legs is such a chore, but sometimes love requires sacrifice.
5. CINDERELLA. You've been searching for your true love for years, in hopes to rediscover them after a magical night. Will you thread the night itself, or perhaps the reunion--or anything in between?
6. SNOW WHITE Living in the forest is not so bad when you make friends. You hope someday your prince will come. Preferrably before someone realizes you're the fairest of them all and tries to kill you. At least that true love's kiss comes in handy!
7. THE FROG PRINCE Someone was once a handsome prince(ss) and they've been turned into an animal. True love's kiss, again, conquers all, so you better get to hopping. (Or leaping, or slithering...)
8. RAPUNZEL Rapunzellll! Let down your haiiiir! Being cooped up in a castle for all of your life has given you quite the sense of adventure, so why not let the person knocking on your door in? It must be safe, right? Right?
9. LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD Grandmother warned you not to go walking in those spooky old woods alone, but you did it anyway. With a wolf on your heels, you better start hoping the wolf is kinder than you think--or if not, that you'll run into a kind huntsman to help save the day. Or, even if not that, you'll rely on your powers of badassery to beat the wolf yourself!
10. GOLDILOCKS & THE THREE BEARS Someone's sleeping in your bed! Kick them out, let them stay. I'm not judging.c
11. TARZAN Someone isn't what you'd maybe call a functioning human being. But that's alright--being raised by monkeys (or wolves, or what have you) isn't a reason not to try and understand them. In fact, maybe you're intrigued by the way they look at life. They could certainly teach you as much as you taught them.
12. PINOCCHIO You're a real boy! Whether you were a puppet or a robot, something--and who only knows what--has turned you into a human. Maybe it was just the love of your creator. Maybe it was a little fairy. Who knows.
13. OTHER. Seriously, knock yourself out.

Feel free to ignore the prompts completely and just use the name of the fairy tale--twisted fairytales, once upon a time style fairy tales...everything is fair game. Just don't eat the poison apple!

[ Natalie is always a step ahead of him, moving easily in this environment, less awkward than she is anywhere else. If only they could stay here, she thinks, if only they had the resources to forge a new life here.

Maybe elsewhere. There are still open possibilities. She waits for him to come, ducking behind a particularly large trunk. ]

[commandertoolbelt]

[ This is her world, so she has a distinct advantage over him, even if he has no trouble following her. The part of him that's offended at her running - she's supposed to be his - is easily brushed aside in favor of the fun of the chase, and he knows he's coming up on her, but he keeps on like he hasn't noticed. ]

[clearasil]

[ Natalie inches around the tree, holding her breath even though it doesn't quite matter with him feeling what he does when it comes to her. She doesn't mind being easily tracked by him. In fact, she likes that he can find her. It makes her feel less alone. ]

[commandertoolbelt]

[ He passes the tree and pauses, a slow grin spreading over his lips. His eyes sweep the area, and though she's not directly in sight, he knows she's here. He almost wishes he were a full dragon and not a halfling so his senses would be better, but he is what he is, so he's left trying to root it out on his own. It's too bad she doesn't leave footprints, but then, that would make this too easy. A few more steps to the right, and he's sure this is the right direction. ]

[ He's nearly got her, but Natalie is impatient to be discovered. With a sudden laugh, she jumps out and, wrapping her arms around his torso, gives him a kiss on the cheek, her weight possibly knocking him off balance in the snow. ]

[commandertoolbelt]

[ He knows it the second before she laughs, and Leo barely has time to turn toward her before she's falling against him, making him take a few steps back to steady himself. Still, he laughs and wraps his arms around her in return, giving her a squeeze and using her momentum to spin her around once before setting her down again, not letting go. ]

[ She laughs louder, clinging to him as he hoists her for a moment, skirt swinging around her legs. It surprises her but she loves it, and she tells him so with a kiss, a deep one, but not without a touch of lightness, giving his shoulders a squeeze. ]

I love you.

[commandertoolbelt]

[ He's more than happy to return the kiss, always pleased when she's in his arms. Those three, simple words make him pause, though - a faint panic in the back of his mind because they're not supposed to be like this, they're opposites, it'll never never work - but he's smiling again in an instant and the reply is tumbling out of his mouth before he can stop it. ]

I love you, too.

[ She's in a panic even as she smiles, and her heart flutters. Yet, those words in return just make everything else go away and she her world narrows so it's only the two of them. ]

I know. [ A soft laugh. ]

I felt it.

[commandertoolbelt]

Am I that obvious?

[ He laughs, and leans in to catch her lips with his. The kiss is short and sweet, but it almost feels like a relief to do it, knowing what's passed between them and hearing the words aloud. ]

[clearasil]

[ Gently, she backs him against the tree trunk, stealing another kiss for herself. She grins. ] You cling to me every night. You look at me like I'm someone special. [ Another kiss. ]

I - I know we shouldn't but I can't help how I feel.

[commandertoolbelt]

You are special. [ And not just because of her powers. He's tried to make that clear, and he thought he had.

Leo tries to keep his smile from faltering. She's right - they shouldn't. But they already have. His breath comes out in a puff, a soft laugh. ] I guess it's a little late for that, huh?

[clearasil]

[ She drops her gaze, chewing her bottom lip. The snow relents and leaves them standing in a peaceful part of the woods and she is at least able to control herself, keeping herself from adding to the weather. ]

I suppose so.

[commandertoolbelt]

[ ...Well. It's not like they can just change how they feel. Maybe they're not meant to be together; maybe they can't last - but there's no rule saying they can't enjoy of what time they do have. Leo never imagined he's actually find someone who could love him, especially when they know what he is. But Natalie...

He releases her from his grip, one hand settling loosely on her hip while the other touches her cheek, gently bringing her lips to his. ]

[ Maybe that's the lesson she's meant to learn during all of this, that she's supposed to enjoy the time she has on earth, with the person she loves. She loves every aspect of him, not just his human side, she loves him with all their differences. It's too late for her now and for once she doesn't overthink. At least here she feels free to do as she pleases before they have to go into hiding again. She returns his kiss fervently, breathing in. ]

[ One of Leo's specialities has always been deliberately ignoring the things that get to him. The best option, the one that works the best, is to run away from it - it's helped him survive, for one. He's still running while he kisses her, matching her in eagerness, but not from the love they're feeling. No, he's going to pretend that this can last, or at least, that it will last as long as they need it to. That's all he needs. ]

[ Their shared confession seems like a good reason to celebrate but she doesn't know how or where to do such a thing. Kissing will suffice for now. When they return to their current residence, she will show him just how much she cares about him. There aren't many things to truly laud nowadays, but they're alive and they're together and that is more than enough. ]

[commandertoolbelt]

[ Kissing like this, even just being able to say the words freely - that's enough celebration for Leo right now. He loves her, and he wants to say it again, but it's lost in a puff of breath passing his lips. It doesn't matter; he knows, and she knows, and he'll regret this later when the inevitable comes about, but for now, until then, Natalie is his, and he fully intends to keep her. ]

What should we do now? [ She mumbles against his lips, wrapping her arms around him and keeping her body, her cold blooded body, close to him and his warmth. ]

[commandertoolbelt]

We could stay here, [ he offers softly. This place is good for her, and although it isn't his natural habitat or preference, the cold doesn't bother him enough to drive him away. He can generate enough warmth to stay comfortable. They could easily make it work. ] We could even build that castle you wanted.

[clearasil]

Easy.

[ She steals one more kiss before pulling away, holding her arms in front of her. Grasping the air, she pulls a wall out of the snow before grinning at him over her shoulder, waggling her eyebrows. ]

You sure you want to escape with me to a place like this?

[commandertoolbelt]

[ Natalie's skill with her element always impresses him - perhaps because it's so foreign to him. He'd never even seen a snow for himself before he met her. Watching her, he smiles. ]

As long as I don't melt everything.

[clearasil]

[ She forms a corner, adding elaborate embellishments to show off a little bit for him. Her smile is a little smug now as she pulls another wall out. It will be a simple castle but the walls stand about eleven feet high, just a way's away from the tree she had him pressed against. ]

I'll repair it if you do. You will be fine, though.

[commandertoolbelt]

[ Pushing himself off the tree, he walks up beside her to admire her work up close, leaving a quick kiss on her cheek. ]

I'll try to be careful. I'll have to, if I'm going to be ravishing you every night.

[clearasil]

Can you make that a promise? [ She kisses his cheek in return before turning around to add the third wall, bits of snow landing on her hair and lashes. With a twist of her twists, she adds spires and the beginnings of a roof - a partial roof, so the sun can still shine in. ]
