he'd usually lick the offending hand (both suo and sena have Hilarious reactions to this) but he doesn't this time, watching nazuna with curious, waiting eyes.]

[ well thank god he's not sena or suo.

nazuna leaves his hand there for a moment, like he's trying to compose himself. then, and only then, when he's sure he's not going to be stuttering, he pulls his hand away, like one would deal with a wild animal. he's ready to shove his hand back over his mouth if he starts again. ]

[god. leo takes nazuna's hands, squeezing lightly.]

[a pause, then shaking his head. no, no. stop. gone is the usual tone of frivolouslessness, present is a more genuine, earnest leo. still light. still hopeful. but truthfully, it isn't as if he has high expectations; it's enough to say it, even if it ends in rejection.]

Nazu, you're fun. I like singing with you. You're kind and reliable, warm and gentle -- you're a good person! Of course I've been thinking about it! Even though I know I'm a handful, you always handle me! I like that.

[ the slightly more serious side of leo is a little jarring. not in a bad way, but he looks down at their hands, some of the red fading off of his cheeks to a softer, more flushed pink. he's always honest (sometimes painfully so) and nazuna's sure he's not lying or anything but--

kind, reliable. gentle. reliable sticks out, and it ends up tugging the corner of his mouth up into a little bit of a smile. he's clearly still embarrassed, but there's fondness in his tone when he speaks up, stutter free. ] You're not any harder to handle than Mitsuruchin.

[ ............................. that was kind of mean. oops. ] I mean--you're not like that, I-- [ he can feel the heat of embarrassment starting to overtake him again, and nazuna shakes his head a couple of times, like he's trying to sort his thoughts. ]

...I had a really good time. Going wild with you. It was...nice. [ he's smiling a little more now, recalling their little adventure. ]

I'm already leaving more and more to the next king of Knights, so isn't it alright to relax a little on that~? I'm sure your little bunnies feel the same way, you know? It's not like I'm abandoning them, but I feel like I've done everything I should've at this point.

[there's still plenty for tsukasa to learn -- he still needs to tell him the full history of knights, how that situation came to be and why -- but most of it are things he can rely on ritsu and arashi for. things he can, and has to, learn on his own.

leo's not a gentle teacher by far, but he does his best.]

But I got it, I got it. I won't ask you again until we're both graduated, from being parents and from this school. Papa already ran out on his kids once, he shouldn't do it again.

[ ...leo has a point. nazuna has said he was going to let go of his rabbits as the repayment fest passed--that they wouldn't really need him anymore, that he could always consult. but graduation is soon (not yet, but soon) and he needs to let them go, for real.

he looks down at their hands for a moment, and then sighs. it's quiet, and he won't look at leo right away, but he shakes their hands, once. ] One date.

[while nazuna's quiet, leo couldn't crow louder; he lets go of the other's hands and dives in for a hug, swinging him around in only that way leo can despite his size.]

Unya! [ as usual, he squawks the minute leo starts swinging him around--seriously, leo's not that much taller than him, he shouldn't be able to do this!!- and clings onto his back to keep from flying off. it's half from the hug and half from the sheer energy that's coming off of him right now. ]

Sorry, sorry, I'm excited~. I should've liked Nazu from the start, but it was pretty hard to get anywhere near you before this year~. Even though Itsuki and I were on better terms, ha! Hey, hey, so? What do you want to do? I get lost easily, so if you just want to walk around it'll be an adventure!

[ ugh... it's a little annoying to be tossed around so easily, but... leo's smile is so sunny, it's hard for nazuna to be grumpy about it. he looks so happy, it gives him a little doki, too, and he tries to keep his expression schooled into something that's not 'stupidly fond of his ridiculous classmate'.

Walking around sounds good. [ he tries to let the comment about itsuki go, too, very briefly considering the headache that might come from all of this when itsuki finds out... it's worth it, though.

that fond smile spreads a little further, and he even drops his arms to wrap around him, too, loosely settled at his hips. ] There's a shop I like to go to in town that's hard to go to by myself. How about that?

[itsuki can suck a dick like he desperately needs to tbh. the returned hug and fondness only encourages the forte of leo's heart and he squints thoughtfully, head tilting up like the ceiling'll have an answer to the question of the sort of shop nazuna'd hesitate to go into.]

Nn... Can't imagine it! The kinda shop that Nazu can't go to, it's gotta be something super tough and full of bad guys, right? I'll protect you! I'm a "Knight" after all! The king of Knights! No one'll bother you, no matter the sort of place it is, so don't worry~. We'll go together~.

[ nazuna can't help it--he starts laughing. it's pure and bright and happy, giggling enough that he has to wipe a tear from his eyes. ]

.... sure, Leochin, that's it! [ really, he appreciates that, sort of, that leo thinks he's that kind of person...! ] It's kind of the opposite.

[ too cute, more like. still, the giggles calm down into a much brighter smile, and he gives a little squeeze to leo's hip, where his hand's resting. maybe this'll be pretty fun after all.. ~ ] I don't really need protecting, I can protect myself! I just need to have fun with you. Okay?

[something cliche strikes through him at the squeeze and leo bounces on his heels, restless as ever, lifting a hand to tuck some of nazuna's hair behind his ear idly.]

[ oh--that's such a casual motion, but it makes nazuna's heart flutter, a little unnecessarily. his eyes widen a little, and his cheeks flush pinker where it had finally started to fade. it's intimate, but different in the way shu might have done the same thing--every touch of leo's feels warm

jeez. he shakes it off once leo starts telling him to lead the way, embarrassed, and ends up leading him off. his hand drops away from his hip, but he stops, looks ahead of him... and then offers his hand backwards for leo to hold.

I've actually seen Arashichin at this same shop. I usually go to buy things for Ra*bits shows, or for the other members, if I feel like spoiling my juniors ~

Ahhhh, this is why I just compose songs for them~! It's too hard to buy things, but making something is supposed to be better anyway, right? They'll forgive me if I get the wrong thing!

[ to take care of your unitmates! obviously. nazuna's an expert in it, all things considered. that's why he frequents the shop so often. he loves his ra*bits, his precious little chicks, so of course, niichan has to spoil them rotten every once in a while... ♪

the walk out of the school isn't that long, and nazuna doesn't look back down at their hands at all. it's easier that way, to make it look like they're just brushing arms, just a couple of close friends. still, his ears may be pink as they make it outside, but nazuna certainly doesn't let go, either, just focusing on keeping his words as fumble-free as possible with every line of conversation.

...jeez. leo's getting him all tangled up. ] Maybe I can help you pick something out.

[it's nice that nazuna's still going with the hand holding, it make leo's mood soar and inspiration (or something?) tingle where their fingers touch, arms brush. so nice, so so nice.]
