1. ALADDIN The classic rags to riches story. One's royalty, and one's not, and they'll do anything to win the heart of their beloved--or at least besotted--even if it means pretend to be rich.
2. SLEEPING BEAUTY A character has been cursed, doomed to sleep forever. Only true love's kiss can wake them up.
3. ALICE IN WONDERLAND Things have gotten curioser and curioser, as a character's transported deep into a magic land where things aren't quite what they seem. A magical court, a reigning queen, talking animals--whatever you have it, you think you probably need to get out of this place and back home. But will your partner help you or harm you?
4. THE LITTLE MERMAID You're a mermaid, for whichever reason. Falling in love with people who have legs is such a chore, but sometimes love requires sacrifice.
5. CINDERELLA. You've been searching for your true love for years, in hopes to rediscover them after a magical night. Will you thread the night itself, or perhaps the reunion--or anything in between?
6. SNOW WHITE Living in the forest is not so bad when you make friends. You hope someday your prince will come. Preferrably before someone realizes you're the fairest of them all and tries to kill you. At least that true love's kiss comes in handy!
7. THE FROG PRINCE Someone was once a handsome prince(ss) and they've been turned into an animal. True love's kiss, again, conquers all, so you better get to hopping. (Or leaping, or slithering...)
8. RAPUNZEL Rapunzellll! Let down your haiiiir! Being cooped up in a castle for all of your life has given you quite the sense of adventure, so why not let the person knocking on your door in? It must be safe, right? Right?
9. LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD Grandmother warned you not to go walking in those spooky old woods alone, but you did it anyway. With a wolf on your heels, you better start hoping the wolf is kinder than you think--or if not, that you'll run into a kind huntsman to help save the day. Or, even if not that, you'll rely on your powers of badassery to beat the wolf yourself!
10. GOLDILOCKS & THE THREE BEARS Someone's sleeping in your bed! Kick them out, let them stay. I'm not judging.c
11. TARZAN Someone isn't what you'd maybe call a functioning human being. But that's alright--being raised by monkeys (or wolves, or what have you) isn't a reason not to try and understand them. In fact, maybe you're intrigued by the way they look at life. They could certainly teach you as much as you taught them.
12. PINOCCHIO You're a real boy! Whether you were a puppet or a robot, something--and who only knows what--has turned you into a human. Maybe it was just the love of your creator. Maybe it was a little fairy. Who knows.
13. OTHER. Seriously, knock yourself out.

Feel free to ignore the prompts completely and just use the name of the fairy tale--twisted fairytales, once upon a time style fairy tales...everything is fair game. Just don't eat the poison apple!

[ Snow isn't something Leo has ever really liked - it doesn't bother him, not really, but it isn't where he belongs. Though, after spending time with Natalie, he's gotten more accustomed to the cold, more accepting of it, even if the light powder melts under his feet and wherever it touches his skin.

Natalie's wandered off for a moment, leaving him behind while she enjoys her natural environment. She belongs here, he thinks; she'll thrive in a place like this that isn't so afraid of her, where she doesn't have to hide so much. He's lost sight of her, but he can still follow her, the magic in her blood scented clear in the air. He could sense that a mile away; it's how he'd known she wasn't normal to begin with. She can wander; as long as she's relatively close, he won't lose her. ]

Just - checking to see if you're still here, that's all.

[ She's worried still, even in her natural environment. She knows this isn't the place for him, but she adores him for coming with her. Finding answers had been her priority but so far, there's been no one who can help her learn self control. It's back to working independently once more.

Well, not quite. She still has him. He is all she has right now. In his own way, he helps her, talking her off ledges, out of bouts of anxiety. ]

You don't think I'd leave you here, do you?

[ She's helped him through his transformations before, dealt with the heat of his home and forge and the caves he's taken sanctuary in as a hunted dragon no longer in control of himself. She's done all of that, despite being his opposite, despite knowing exactly how dangerous he and his kind can be. He can handle a bit of cold, if it makes her happy. ]

[ A small part of her wants to tear down the hill and spin around until she falls flat in a snow drift. She leaves no footprints - they'd never find her here. Still, she doesn't want to stay long, taking comfort in knowing where to find this place next time she feels so lonesome and far from anything familiar.

It isn't difficult to find the familiar when she has Leo around. She's air and mist and slippery paths and should melt when she's with him. In a way, she does, clearly seen in the way she smiles at him. There's no answer to his question, but she does lean in and press her cold lips to his instead. ]

[ She seems to materialize out of nowhere, but that's not a bad thing. He knows what this means to Natalie, and Leo is glad to be with her in a place so special, where she can let go. It's so rare to see her smile; he can't help but smile back just in time for her to kiss him, his fingers playing lightly over her arms. ]

[clearasil]

I'd ask if you're cold, but you spend far too much time with me.

[ She wrinkles her mouth when she pulls away from him, lifting a hand to shake some of the snow from his hair. ] Thank you. [ For spending too much time with her, among other things. ]

[commandertoolbelt]

[ He almost scoffs. ] Come on, you know I never get cold. It's one of the perks.

[ Trying to suppress a laugh at her actions - there will be more snowflakes to replace those she shook out of his hair in just a minute or two - and gives her an affectionate look, pleased to be alone with her where no one else is likely to find them, or hurt. ] I'll try not to melt it all.

[clearasil]

I'll make sure you don't.

[ Even if there's overwhelming proof that they're destined not to be together in the end, moments like this tell her otherwise. She loves him and that, she can't ignore. ] Maybe I can live here in a castle on a mountain and we'll find a cave for you nearby.

[commandertoolbelt]

[ He wrinkles his nose. ] I don't like caves. [ They remind him too much of that part of him he tries to pretend isn't there. He may be a monster, but he doesn't have to live like it - not as long as he can stay in human form. ] It sounds good, though. I like it.

[clearasil]

Then you'll live with me, [ she insists, pulling him closer, ] I'll make a forge for you since nothing melts around me. Maybe we don't need the rest of the world.

[ Natalie nuzzles her nose against his, mild desperation in her eyes, easily hidden when they crinklles as she smiles again. ]

[commandertoolbelt]

[ He can't help but smile, in spite of that nagging voice in the back of his mind telling him that this can't last. A forge... a castle, just for the two of them, sounds fantastic - like some kind of dream, really. To not have to worry about being found out, hunted...? ]

Okay, [ he says simply, slipping his arms around her. ]

[clearasil]

During the day, we'll tend to our respective businesses and by night I'm sure you'll ravish me or something. [ Another laugh. Sometimes, settling into fantasy is good. ]

[commandertoolbelt]

[ And of course, she's speaking straight to the primal side of him. There's a mischievous glint in his eyes as he asks, ] Do you want me to?

[clearasil]

Please.

[ Her eyebrows hop and she steals away from him, just out of his grasp. The snow has lifted somewhat, but she manages to keep the flakes thick around her so he will have to do some seeking. ]

[commandertoolbelt]

That's cheating! [ he calls. It isn't hard to follow her, though; he can still sense her magic, and he sets off after her with a grin. ]

[clearasil]

[ She laughs out loud, throwing her head back as she weaves through evergreen trees, shaking the branches as she passes. He will soon catch her but leading the chase has always been fun. ]

[commandertoolbelt]

[ She's only making it easier for him, laughing like that. The sound instantly relaxes him, but he keeps after her, ducking branches and not even bothering to stifle his own laughs. It's been a long time since he's had fun like this - no worries or anything. ]

[clearasil]

[ Natalie is always a step ahead of him, moving easily in this environment, less awkward than she is anywhere else. If only they could stay here, she thinks, if only they had the resources to forge a new life here.

Maybe elsewhere. There are still open possibilities. She waits for him to come, ducking behind a particularly large trunk. ]

[commandertoolbelt]

[ This is her world, so she has a distinct advantage over him, even if he has no trouble following her. The part of him that's offended at her running - she's supposed to be his - is easily brushed aside in favor of the fun of the chase, and he knows he's coming up on her, but he keeps on like he hasn't noticed. ]

[clearasil]

[ Natalie inches around the tree, holding her breath even though it doesn't quite matter with him feeling what he does when it comes to her. She doesn't mind being easily tracked by him. In fact, she likes that he can find her. It makes her feel less alone. ]

[commandertoolbelt]

[ He passes the tree and pauses, a slow grin spreading over his lips. His eyes sweep the area, and though she's not directly in sight, he knows she's here. He almost wishes he were a full dragon and not a halfling so his senses would be better, but he is what he is, so he's left trying to root it out on his own. It's too bad she doesn't leave footprints, but then, that would make this too easy. A few more steps to the right, and he's sure this is the right direction. ]

[clearasil]

[ He's nearly got her, but Natalie is impatient to be discovered. With a sudden laugh, she jumps out and, wrapping her arms around his torso, gives him a kiss on the cheek, her weight possibly knocking him off balance in the snow. ]

[commandertoolbelt]

[ He knows it the second before she laughs, and Leo barely has time to turn toward her before she's falling against him, making him take a few steps back to steady himself. Still, he laughs and wraps his arms around her in return, giving her a squeeze and using her momentum to spin her around once before setting her down again, not letting go. ]

[clearasil]

[ She laughs louder, clinging to him as he hoists her for a moment, skirt swinging around her legs. It surprises her but she loves it, and she tells him so with a kiss, a deep one, but not without a touch of lightness, giving his shoulders a squeeze. ]

I love you.

[ He's more than happy to return the kiss, always pleased when she's in his arms. Those three, simple words make him pause, though - a faint panic in the back of his mind because they're not supposed to be like this, they're opposites, it'll never never work - but he's smiling again in an instant and the reply is tumbling out of his mouth before he can stop it. ]
